Josh took command this past Friday, of the Headquarters Btry in our unit here at Ft. Bliss. Check them out on facebook to keep up with us (4-1 Field Artillery)!! The ceremony is laced with tradition, and things couldn't have gone much more smoothly than they did!! It was another beautiful day in El Paso, and the wind wasn't bad at all!
After the ceremony, we had a nice reception with lots of goodies!! Let it be known that without all of the help from friends and family, I really would have been a crazy lady and things wouldn't even be close to being as great as they were!!
I'm very proud of Josh, and together, we're looking forward to facing this command and ever-nearing deployment together as a couple, a family, and a unit! We will make mistakes, we aren't perfect. But I know that in the end, we will be able to look back and say that we handled things with patience, grace, and most of all, integrity - as our faith is our compass. Looking at where we've been and where we'll go, there's no doubt in our minds that the Lord has perfectly arranged our every step and we rest in knowing that our future rests in the most dependible being we know!!
